Midnight Sun Festival Update

Dear MSST Swimmers and Families

Once again this year we were given a great fund raising opportunity at Solstice. They have asked us to return for clean up detail as we did such a wonderful job last year. This will net the team $1000. During the fest we empty city trash cans and take the full bags to nearby dumpsters. The Downtown Association supplies us with wagons and bags to do this. Each team needs to rotate through the trash cans every 45 minutes or so. As it gets busy they will need to be checked more often. We will be responsible for 3rd and 4th streets. Yes, it is hard work, but the more people that agree to help out the easier it will be. The expectation is that all senior swimmers participate. It is fine to work your shift around your job if needed. If everyone participates in 2-3 person teams with one adult it should make for easy work. Leah has agreed to take the last shift of the evening as the adult, I am going to take the first shift from 12-4 so that I can make a Sam's run for the Wings Shack before they close. We will need swimmers to fill ALL shifts, we still need swimmers for the 12-4 and the 4-8 shift, plus we need a parent or adult for the 4-8 shift.  Swimmers that will be in middle school or high school starting thisfall can also participate. Please email me (gevershed9@gmail.com) orsign up on the board no later than Friday. Please bring gloves and wear a MSST shirt for your shift. Remember, this money will go towards all the things that the team needs to run, everything from equipmentto coaches salaries. Your help is needed and expected as a member of MSST.

If younger swimmers want to participate in this fun fundraising

opportunity the Wings Shack will be looking for parent/swimmer teamsto help out with food sales and money handling. Noexperience nessary! Come havefun and support our team!

Sincerely,

Rixa Evershed
